Sustainability

Under new leadership, great care is being taken in restoring and recommissioning Hextex’s plants and re-employing skilled people. Hextex is working to reclaim and expand its legacy, develop robust local market connections and, gradually, expand into international markets in a sustainable and responsible way.

A sustainable future is only possible through developing and implementing a conscious strategy that incorporates ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) qualities as its fundamental platform. Profit-enabled impact (PEI) has been key to the investment and turnaround of the company. To drive revenue growth and ensure the commercial viability and sustainability of our company, our aim is: to grow the textile value chain in a way that is sustainable; to deliver leading trends using efficient clean technologies and local design talent; and to serve customers around the world while enhancing local sourcing and employment. Tangible impacts are created using the existing plant, equipment, and human skill to address job creation in the area. Leveraging opportunities for accelerating an innovative circular economy and product environmental footprint (PEF) we seek to beneficiate local raw material and reduce carbon emissions for our customers through home-shoring or near-shoring for the African continent.
